Photos of my 1994 Kawasaki Ninja 500D (EX500)

Some mods were done by the previous owner, but include:

Muzzy exhaust; DynoJet carb kit; K&N filters; fan cutoff switch; and 16/45 sprocket combo
(four teeth over stock). I removed the last mod in favor of a much more useable 16/42. I also
added a Zero Gravity windscreen (light smoke), ProGrip grips, Duc-style mirrors with built-in
turn signals, rear LED flushmount signals, and Pirelli Sport Demons front (stock) and rear (140/70) .

First week of ownership. I thought it a grand achievement that I had
made it to this little park, a few blocks away from home.
The first practice day... hot as a mofo out there!

A few tweaks later ... and a friend.

Unfortunately, this is now the most recent pic of the bike, after the
crash on 1/22/04.

Damage: trashed fairing; mirrors; broken headlight support;
bent/broken clutch lever; bent shift lever. Check back soon for the
new and improved version, as soon as I get my damn money from the
guy's insurance company. Grrrrrrr....

Just over two months after I got hit, she's finally all back in one piece. The shop even managed to add a belly pan. Now all she needs is paint: Kawi Neon Green, or black with reflective gold lettering?

5/29/04: Just added the new LED signals. I removed the old bulky "carbon fiber" (ha!) pieces, relocated the signals to the underside, and added some EX500 decals I had laying around to cover up the old holes on the fairings. I had to install a Kuryakyn load equalizer for the power-conserving LEDs to work.

A closer look.
